The Threat to Uncertainty is a feature film script that I’m writing purely for my own enjoyment. I haven’t written anything on the idea for the novel which the script is based on for a few years now. I do expect to return to the novel eventually, but I have no idea when exactly. The feature film script is something that I write on in bursts now and then.As of March 2009, I have 40 pages. The purpose of writing this script is to have fun and practice writing a feature film script. I love to take on new formats for writing, which is exactly what I’m doing here. I don’t expect it to ever be made into a film, as it would require quite a big budget. This is what I write on when I feel like it. I don’t put any pressure on myself on this one.
The plot is roughly the same as the one I imagined the novel would be, but part of the challenge with writing this script is adapting that story and finding the opportunities that the film format brings in terms of storytelling.
